The main idea behind Movu is that the product should maintain high quality at all levels. The founding team is also focused on ensuring the greatest possible value creation in Norway, and locally sourced production solutions are therefore central. Movu Mobility AS has now entered into an agreement with  Mølla Growth Work Inclusion.

– We have considered a number of alternative solutions, but we are very pleased that we are now entering into a collaboration with Mølla, says Øyvind Gedde, CEO of Movu Mobility AS. – We know the business well from before and know that they deliver the quality we demand.

Rolling out in several European countries

Movu is a smart, foldable tricycle developed for people who need a little support when walking, but who do not want an aid they perceive as stigmatizing. Many today decline free walkers precisely for that reason.

After more than 20,000 working hours, a small Norwegian team with extensive experience in product development has created a product that more and more people want to use.

Now Movu is on its way out into the world, with the first agreements already signed in Denmark, Finland, and the Netherlands. At the same time, the ambition is clear: Value creation should happen in Norway.

Inclusion in practice – production from A to Z

Mølla is an adapted workplace where people with various assistance needs get work through the scheme Permanent Adapted Work (VTA). Mølla was approved as a training company in the production technology field in June 2025. The collaboration with Movu strengthens the quality of vocational training and positively contributes to the effort to get more from benefits to work.

It provides a rare opportunity to follow a Norwegian innovation product from parts to finished solution – and to encounter it later in the urban landscape with the certainty of: I have been part of creating this. This is inclusion in practice.

A solution to a growing societal challenge

The need for mobility will increase significantly in the coming years. More people will live at home longer, and more want to lead active lives – throughout their lives. Movu has been developed precisely with this goal: To make it possible to remain independent, mobile, and social – even when balance becomes a bit worse. Thus, this is not just about a new product, but about how technology and design can contribute to a more sustainable health and care society.
