– As a chronically ill 20-year-old, it is extremely difficult to start using aids such as a walker.
Viktoria has the chronic illness CRPS. It is a relatively rare disease that usually affects an arm or a leg. Typical symptoms are intense, burning, cutting, sharp, or aching pain.
**Hesitant to use a walker**
– I want to walk by myself, because I can. Just not so far or much. As a result of "a little" quickly becoming quite a lot, I have no other choice but to use crutches or be bedridden, anything but a wheelchair or walker, says Viktoria.
**Discovered MOVU by chance on the subway**
Viktoria discovered Movu by chance while she was on the subway and became very interested in testing whether Movu could be useful for her. It was a very nice meeting with a strong girl.
– Movu is going to change both my life and many others' lives. I have been unwell for the last three months and am now in the rehabilitation phase. I can't go outdoors without aids for fear of falling. I refuse to use a regular walker, and here I know that Movu would have been a fantastic cool product and would have allowed me to participate more in things and get out more, she says.
The stigma associated with walkers can lead to many missing the opportunity to be more independent and participate in activities they would otherwise enjoy.
– I probably should have used a walker to prevent issues, but I can't bring myself to do it; I want to avoid feeling like an old lady of 95, she explains.
**Wants to give more people the opportunity to move outdoors**
